The Artistry of Algae (workshop) American Museum of Natural History Central Park West at 79th Street, New York, NY We're presenting a two-day workshop in the Calder Lab at AMNH to coincide with the reopening of the Hall of Ocean Life. On this Saturday and Sunday we will discuss how organisms are classified, the biology of seaweeds, their historic and modern uses, and the history of seaweeds in art. Participants will prepare pressed seaweed specimens to take home at the end of the workshop. Enrollment ($150) is limited to 25 and can be arranged through the AMNH. |
