| May 16, 2003 . Narragansett, RI At the Pier in Narragansett, the first half of a great day out. Great light and a very low spring tide reveal beautiful Fucus, Ascophyllum with very large and ripe receptacles, a bryozoan or hydroid with whorled branches (Bugula sp.?), a periwinkle (Littorina) decorated in bleached Corallina, other colorful snails, and jellyfish and Leathesia in abundance. |
