October 17, 2002 . Narragansett, RI After a big coastal storm, our first Northeaster of the season, surprisingly there was no seaweed at the Pier. Instead I found surfers, taking advantage of the last big waves, and a rather interesting object that turned out to be a golf ball... At Scarborough Beach, with gulls hunkered down, some drift (mostly Chondrus) was washed up. Click here to see a wide view of the rolling waves with surfers in the distance. |
