November/December 2002: Although many of the fungi we found in September and October are gone now, we are still finding inspiring scenes at the shore: the largest mounds of drift we've ever seen at Scarborough South, painterly impressionistic scenes of schooling fish at the Pier, and interesting algae and animals from several of our common haunts. On a Friday afternoon, we also made it up to the RISD Nature Lab to give a small workshop on seaweed pressing. |
